My new Black Diamond Firstlight tent arrived in the mail yesterday. I like what I see so far, except having to seam seal it myself is really a pain. It’s worth it, though, as I hope this little baby can take me up Rainier. I can’t wait to test ‘er out this weekend.

Taken above 13,000’ on Quandary Peak (14,265’) on Saturday, Oct 29. It was a decently warm day, around 30 degrees — but check out that wind. The 50-mph gusts resulted in wind chill values as low as -10. Needless to say, we didn’t stay on the summit for long.
